Bummer happened to me and others as well.  Time for a new ignition switch.
Just the electrical part, easily gotten from Roebuck, about 80 bucks.  I
just jiggled my key  until the heater blower came on for a year.  The switch
fails prematurely, about the same time my crank keyway went.  Not a hard
install either.  Credit goes to mazda for that.  Try doing the same on a
71VW Bus.  Colorful metaphors abound!!!
