I just moved here (St. Paul) in August.  Haven't found any shops that
cater to Miatas and I don't think there are any.  I go weeks without
even seeing a Miata including my own (it's stored for the winter). 
People around here look at me funny riding around with the top down and
a rollbar.  There is a Northstar Miata Chapter up here, but they are
pretty much done until Spring.  I haven't had a chance to hook up with
them yet. Here's their site:

FUNNY STORY:

The people from my wife's small town had never heard of a Miata let
alone seen one.  A guy that was in the gas station asked me what kind
of car it was.  I said, "It's a Miata."  "A Mariorta, who makes that,"
he replied.  I told him Mazda did.  He said, "WHO?"  After that I
thought I'd relate Mazda to something he might know about.  I said they
are partly owned by Ford.  He said, "Ford, hell I gotta git me one of
those!"  I just smiled and walked away...
