If you open up some old filters like I did, you might find that the size of
the filter element does not directly relate to the size of the case.

I had PEP Boys look up a filter for me once. The answer was what size
do you want. I said size?? Give me both numbers and went and looked at
them. The one was quite a bit larger, been using it ever since.
L14620 is the oversized Purolator filter. You can cross reference that
into any other brand filter you prefer to use and get the same size.
